Shred Squad for Kids


Get an advanced SHREDUCATION!


This after school program is for riders who have advanced skills for their age (9-13 years old) and who are looking to build technique and improve skills such as jumps, drops and technical trail riding. Shred Squad will be limited to 6 riders per term and there will be a selection process to ensure that all riders in the squad are of similar ability to create a learning group who can progress together.

If your child has completed our Shred School program, or a Fundamentals or Obstacles, Jumps and Drops clinic and you think your child would be well suited to this and can make a weekly time of 4.00-5.15pm Tuesdays (during school term) in the locales of Manly Dam, Frenchs Forest or Belrose then send us your expression of interest via email:

What you'll need to bring:

  • Mountain bike that is mechanically sound and clean. As well as the more obvious safety points, your bike must have handlebar end plugs fitted.

  • Helmet (Australian Standards AS/NZS 2063 approved), other protective gear optional such as gloves, eyewear, elbow, knee/shin pads

  • Spare tube that is compatible with your child's bike

  • Water & snacks - they will need to carry these with them while riding

What's provided:

  • Small group tuition - a maximum of 6 kids in the class, ensuring plenty of attention for everyone

  • A structured program of mountain bike skills and education delivered by Chocolate Foot coaches

  • Plenty of fun and challenge with games and guided trail rides

  • Good vibes and plenty of positive reinforcement, because mountain biking is always meant to be fun!

  • Please note our refund policy. Also please note that should health restrictions relating to COVID19 cause us to cancel or stop the program, a full refund will be given for any sessions not delivered.

  • Chocolate Foot is covered by its own Public Liability Insurance. You are responsible for your own Personal Injury Insurance and Ambulance Cover
