Shred Skills Holiday Camps

Are your kids looking for an exciting and active way to spend their school holiday? Whether your child is just starting out or ready to take on bigger trail challenges, our Shred Skills holiday camps help young riders build confidence, improve technique, and have a whole lot of fun doing it. Our school holiday camps cater to different experience levels and age groups, with expert instruction in small groups.

We’ve expanded our program to offer a broader range of skill-based clinics, catering to different age groups and experience levels. Scroll down to explore each camp and find the perfect fit for your young shredder!

Shred Skills: Fundamentals of Flow

Build confidence and core MTB skills

For ages 7-10 and 10-13 | 5 or 6 hour camp

Perfect for beginner and novice riders, this camp builds the essential skills every mountain biker needs for safe and enjoyable trail riding. We cover the fundamentals - body position, braking, balance, gear use, climbing and descending, cornering, and navigating obstacles - and spend plenty of time practising on the trail. Riders will be grouped by age and ability to ensure a fun and supportive experience.

Who is this camp for?

  • Kids who can ride a bike but have little or no off-road experience

  • Riders new to MTB skills coaching

  • Those who’d benefit from reinforcing foundational techniques

  • Confident riders lacking formal technique - you don’t know what you don’t know!

Fundamentals of Flow Camp Dates:

  • 7-10yrs Camp 1: Monday 7 July, 8.30am-1.30pm

  • 7-10yrs Camp 2: Tuesday 15 July, 8.30am-1.30pm

  • 10-13yrs Camp 1: Tuesday 8 July, 8.30am-2.30pm

  • 10-13yrs Camp 2: Wednesday 16 July, 8.30am-2.30pm

Shred Skills: Flow Progression

Take your riding further with smoother lines and smarter skills

For ages 7-13 | 6 hour camp

This camp is designed for intermediate riders ready to refine their technique and build flow on the trails. We’ll focus on body position, cornering, balance, trail awareness, line choice, and linking skills across varied terrain. Riders will challenge themselves at their own pace while having a blast riding with others at a similar level.

Who is this camp for?

  • Kids aged 7-13 who’ve completed two or more MTB clinics (with us or another provider)

  • Riders with a year or more of off-road experience

  • Those comfortable on green trails and starting to enjoy blue trails

  • Kids with the stamina for six hours of trail time and fun!

Flow Progression Camp Dates:

  • Camp 1: Wednesday 9 July, 8.30am-2.30pm

  • Camp 2: Monday 14 July, 8.30am-2.30pm

Shred Skills: Next Level Flow

Next level skills for confident riders ready to push their limits

For experienced riders ages 9-13 | 3 hour camp

This is the camp for confident, skilled riders ready to elevate their technical ability. We’ll work on advanced cornering, steep roll-ins, technical climbing, wheel lifts, and reading the trail like a pro. Riders will be challenged to push themselves while staying safe and in control.

Please note: You’ll be asked to provide info about your child’s riding experience upon registration. Feel free to contact us beforehand if you’re unsure whether this camp is the right fit.

  • Camp 1: Tuesday 8 July, 9.00am-12.00pm

  • Camp 2: Wednesday 16 July, 9.00am-12.00pm

Shred Skills: Jumps & Drops for Kids

Catch air with confidence - safely and in style
For ages 9-13 | 3 hour camp

This popular clinic helps kids learn to get airborne with control and confidence. Using our custom ramp system and natural trail features, we’ll introduce the skills and techniques needed for drop-offs, tabletop jumps, and even small gap jumps. We’ll also revisit key fundamentals to ensure a safe take-off and landing - and loads of fun.

Jumps & Drops for Kids Camp Dates:

  • Camp 1: Thursday 10 July, 8.30-11.30am

  • Camp 2: Thursday 17 July, 8.30-11.30am

Location:

Manly Dam & surrounds, Sydney, NSW

What to bring:

  • A mechanically sound mountain bike with two working hand brakes (no backpedal/coaster brakes)

  • Closed handlebar ends (grips intact or end plugs installed)

  • Helmet (AS/NZS 2063 approved) and gloves (mandatory)

  • Optional but recommended: elbow and knee pads

  • A spare inner tube that fits your child’s bike tyre size

  • Either a hydration pack to carry water, snack & spare tube, OR water bottle on the bike + small backpack

  • Snacks, lunch (for 5+hrs camps), spare warm clothing and a rain jacket in a bag that can be left in a secure place and accessed when needed

What We Provide:

  • Small group coaching and individual attention

  • Passionate, experienced MTB instructors

  • A fun, supportive, and challenging outdoor experience

  • Trail time, skill-building, games, and new friendships

Registration Information:

  • 3 Hour Camp Clinic Fee: $100

  • 5 Hour Camp Clinic Fee: $130

  • 6 Hour Camp Clinic Fee: $155

  • Please note our refund policy

  • We are an Active Kids provider. To use a voucher for your child's enrolment, select registration option 'Use Active Kids Voucher' and then email the voucher to info@chocolatefoot.com.au.

  • Chocolate Foot is covered by its own Public Liability Insurance. You are responsible for your own Personal Injury Insurance and Ambulance Cover.

  • Final information will be sent by email to all participants one week prior to the camp.
