Entry Process
Entry is via MTBA's online entry system, which will require you to pay by Visa or Mastercard. If you don't have a credit card, please

for alternative payment details.
If you are an MTBA member, you may already have a login on the MTBA system which will allow you to enter without having to type in all your personal details. This also enables you to renew your MTBA membership online at the appropriate time. If you haven't already got a login, visit the MTBA website to register for this. You can login at any time to change your personal or entry details - see Changes to Entries below.
The entry process for Non-MTBA members is the same, you will create a login but will need to enter all your personal details, and you will be charged $20 for your day permit (and other non-MTBA members day permits) when you make your payment. You can login at a later date to change your personal or entry details - see Changes to Entries below.
Any individual can enter another individual, whether they are an MTBA member or a non-MTBA member. If the person you are entering is an MTBA member, please ensure you have their membership number.
Teams – the Team Captain enters all details for their team members, so please ensure you have all personal details, MTBA membership numbers, any medical conditions, emergency contact details, etc. for each team member. Again, the Team Captain can login at a later date to change any team member details - see Changes to Entries below.
Solo Competitors - you’ll see the option to enter both the solo category and the special category championship (for no extra charge). To do this, select one, hold the CTRL key and click on the other, and they should then both be selected.
2011 Entry Fees
We're pleased to announce that there is no change to entry fees in 2011 - in fact it has got even cheaper for the singletrack obsessive! We'll be rewarding serial offenders (those who attend all rounds) with a discounted package as a thank you for your support - see below. However, we are discouraging procrastination this year - entry during the week of each round, i.e. after midnight on the previous Sunday, will attract an additional $5 fee per rider. Set your goals early and get entered!

Insurance
To compete at the Singletrack Mind Series, every entrant must either have a current MTBA race licence or purchase a day permit. When completing online entry as a non-MTBA member, you will be charged $20 for a day permit. Please note that if you have a current MTBA race licence, you will need to show this at Registration, otherwise you will be asked to complete, and pay for, a day permit!
See the MTBA website for information on the insurance cover for MTBA members and day permit holders.
MTBA has recently introduced a Permit Rebate Scheme whereby if you can provide copies of three day permits you have purchased at races within the same calendar year, MTBA will discount a full membership by $30. So, if you have attended a few races and got a taste for racing and want to take up full membership, some of the dollars you've already spent on day permit fees can be credited against your membership. Contact MTBA for more information.
Changes to Entries
Online entries, and changes to existing entries, will close at midnight on the Wednesday before the event. Update - 28 November: An exception to this is the rescheduled Round 8¼ where entries are now sold out and changes may be made up until midnight on Monday 12 December. Changes to entries can be made until this date by logging into 'online access' on the MTBA website with either your MTBA login or, if you're a non-MTBA member, the login you chose when you entered. You'll see an option called 'My Events' and here you can change your personal details and change team members. Click here for more information on how to change your entry, what changes you are able to do, and what changes you need to contact us for.
No changes to entries or categories will be possible after that time, however rider substitutions may still be made at Registration at the event. All substitute riders must fill out a Replacement Rider Form and bring it with them to Registration. If your new rider is not a MTBA member they will need to pay $20 (cash only) for a MTBA day permit even if the rider they are replacing has already paid for a day permit online – the insurance policy always stays with the individual. Day permits are not transferable BUT the unused day permit will be refunded to the rider who originally paid for it in online entry – minus a buck ($1) for administration.

or by phone to 0457 084 552 no later than midnight (EST) on the Sunday before the event to be considered for a refund. Cancellations received by this date will be refunded their entry fee, less a 20% administration fee.
Cancellations received after midnight (EST) on the Sunday before the event will not be considered for a refund, however rider substitutions may still be made until midnight on the Wednesday before the event, and at Registration at the event. All substitute riders must fill out a Replacement Rider Form and bring it with them to Registration.
Serial Offenders
Solo riders or teams who have registered for the discounted package for 6 rounds and wish to cancel their entry to a round will not be refunded for this round however after one cancellation they then are subject to standard early bird entry cancellation conditions as per above.
Late Entries
There will be no on the day entries, get your teams organised in advance and enter by the closing date! If you happen to miss the closing date and wish to race, then contact us by phone (0457 084 552) to see if there are places spare - where possible we will allow you to enter at Registration however an additional $10 fee per rider will be charged.
Refund Policy
Unfortunately Mother Nature and other factors can get in the way of us enjoying the sport we love ... as such, Chocolate Foot reserve the right to cancel the race at any time which may be due to fire, storm, rain, inclement weather, wind, forest closure, or any other circumstances. Should this occur, the event will be rescheduled where possible and no refunds will be issued although entries may be transferred to other riders or teams.
May 2011 - Clarification regarding requests to transfer entry from a rescheduled event to another round: Should an event be rescheduled and you are unable to attend the rescheduled date, as mentioned above no refunds are issued but neither can entries be transferred to another round, as this would be the same as giving a refund.
Waiver
All entrants must read, and agree to the terms of, the event waiver during the entry process. At Registration, all riders must sign their name to confirm that they have read and understood this waiver. Riders under 18 years of age must have a parent or guardian present to sign on their behalf.
