... for anyone obsessed with singletrack
Online entry for all rounds of the 2013 Singletrack Mind Series is now open. See the links below to enter:
If you are an MTBA member, you may already have a login on the MTBA system which will allow you to enter without having to type in all your personal details. This also enables you to renew your MTBA membership online at the appropriate time. If you haven't already got a login, visit the MTBA website to register for this. You can login at any time to change your personal or entry details - see Changes to Entries below.
The entry process for Non-MTBA members is the same, you will create a login but will need to enter all your personal details, and you will be charged $20 for your day permit (and other non-MTBA members day permits) when you make your payment. You can login at a later date to change your personal or entry details - see Changes to Entries below.
Any individual can enter another individual, whether they are an MTBA member or a non-MTBA member. If the person you are entering is an MTBA member, please ensure you have their membership number.
Teams – one team member enters all details for their team, so please ensure you have all personal details, MTBA membership numbers, any medical conditions, emergency contact details, etc. for each team member. Again, a team member can login at a later date to change their details - see Changes to Entries below.
Solo Competitors - you’ll see the option to enter both the solo category and the special category championship (for no extra charge). To do this, select one, hold the CTRL key and click on the other, and they should then both be selected.
2013 Entry Fees
Entry fees are shown in the table below, and the prices are per solo rider or team, per round. Once again we'll be rewarding serial offenders (those who attend all rounds) with a discounted package as a thank you for your support - see below.
To compete at the Singletrack Mind Series, every entrant must either have a current MTBA race licence or purchase a day permit. When completing online entry as a non-MTBA member, you will be charged $20 for a day permit. Please note that if you have a current MTBA race licence, you will need to show this at Registration, otherwise you will be asked to complete, and pay for, a day permit!
Insurance cover for those with full MTBA membership does offer substantial benefits over that provided with a day permit. These benefits include income protection and personal accident cover (including non-medicare and ambulance cover) at sanctioned MTBA activities (i.e. Chocolate Foot and other events!). As a member you also receive 24hr public liability cover and personal accident over whenever on your bike (so long as you are not participating in a non-MTBA activity, e.g. an event offered by a promoter for which MTBA insurance is not required).
See the MTBA website for more information.
Online entries, and changes to existing entries, will close at midnight on the Wednesday before the event. Changes to entries can be made until this date by logging into the online services section of the MTBA website with either your MTBA login or, if you're a non-MTBA member, the login you chose when you entered. You'll see an option called 'My Events' and here you can change your personal details and change team members. Head to this page for more information on how to change your entry, what changes you are able to do, and what changes you need to contact us for. Please note in our Refund Policy below that if you wish to change to a lower value category there will be no refund in entry fee.
No changes to entries or categories will be possible after that time, however rider substitutions may still be made at Registration at the event. All substitute riders must fill out a Replacement Rider Form and bring it with them to Registration. If your new rider is not a MTBA member they will need to pay $20 (cash only) for a MTBA day permit even if the rider they are replacing has already paid for a day permit online – the insurance policy always stays with the individual. Day permits are not transferable BUT the unused day permit will be refunded to the rider who originally paid for it in online entry – minus a buck ($1) for administration.
Cancellations received after midnight (EST) on the Sunday before the event will not be considered for a refund, however rider substitutions may still be made until midnight on the Wednesday before the event, and at Registration at the event. All substitute riders must fill out a Replacement Rider Form and bring it with them to Registration.
The conditions in the Standard Entry cancellation policy above apply to solo riders or teams who have registered for the discounted Serial Offenders package, however the refund for a first cancellation will be will be given at 50% of one round's standard entry fee which is equivalent to the discount that Serial Offenders are receiving (10% x 5). No admin fee applies to the first cancellation. After one cancellation then the value of entry has reverted to standard pricing and is subject to the cancellation policy of standard entry.
There will be no on the day entries, get your teams organised in advance and enter by the closing date! If you happen to miss the closing date and wish to race, then contact us by phone (0457 084 552) to see if there are places spare - where possible we will allow you to enter at Registration however an additional $10 fee per rider will be charged.
Unfortunately Mother Nature and other factors can get in the way of us enjoying the sport we love ... as such, Chocolate Foot reserve the right to cancel the race at any time which may be due to fire, storm, rain, inclement weather, wind, forest closure, or any other circumstances. Should this occur, the event will be rescheduled where possible and no refunds will be issued. Entries may be transferred to other riders or teams, but you may not transfer your entry to another round of the Series.
Should an event be rescheduled and you are unable to attend the rescheduled date, if you notify us of your inability to attend and the reason for this within 48 hours of the announcement of the new date being posted in our Latest News, then we will refund 50% of your entry fee.
Should you wish to change your entry to a lower value category, the difference in entry fee will not be refunded.
All entrants must read, and agree to the terms of, the event waiver during the entry process. At Registration, all riders must sign their name to confirm that they have read and understood this waiver. Riders under 18 years of age must have a parent or guardian present to sign on their behalf.
