... for anyone obsessed with singletrack
The Singletrack Mind Series ... for anyone obsessed with singletrack!
The Singletrack Mind Series features four mountain bike endurance events of 6 hours and 4 hours duration.
They take place at four different locations in NSW, each one renowned for its flowing singletrack and fun factor. Our aim is to provide a great day's racing for riders of all levels, on courses that are challenging, rewarding and, most of all, fun!
The Series is being made possible by the kind cooperation of our hosts, some great mountain bike clubs, and we are looking forward to working together with them to bring you this singletrack extravaganza!
There's solo and relay teams categories and riders will complete laps of a course ranging from 8km to 12km in length. The category winners will have the highest number of laps completed at the event cut off time.
We've got everything you could need for a great day out on the bike: fantastic prizes, kids' racing, plus plenty of chances to win schwag with spot prizes and competitions.
Round 1, 26 June: We will be kicking off the series at the Deep Creek Dam trails in Mogo, on the NSW South Coast! This will be a first for a race of this type at this location, and the Botanic Gardens will be a beautiful setting for our event centre. With so much on offer to see and do in the region, bring your family and supporters and make a long weekend of it!
Round 2, 28 August: The fast and flowy Coondoo Road trails in Nowra will be home to this round, hosted by the South Coast Mountainbikers. The course offers a bunch of different options for course setting, and while it’s great for the novice rider more experienced riders tell us it’s a tough one to ride consistently fast. Coondoo is now the only venue that has featured in every edition of the Series!
Round 3, 11 September: Wingello State Forest in the Southern Highlands is synonymous with fast, fun and challenging singletrack! The Highlands Trails group are always busy adding new singletrack and with the wonderful Southern Highlands MTB club partnering with us for this round, this is not to be missed!
Round 4, 27 November: Kinross State Forest in the central west's food & wine capital Orange! Kinross was the Series Finale in 2013 & 2014 and riders couldn't get enough of the fantastic trails that made up the race loop - fun factor was off the chart with the 1km descent at the end of the lap leaving you grinning from ear to ear. It's a no-brainer to head back to Orange for our 2016 Series Finale! This race is also the final round of the Evocities Series. Boom!
